About Me

Dave graduated from the University Of Denver in 1964 after serving in the U.S. Navy. He became a CPA while working for Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. He then spent five years as the Controller/Treasurer for a cattle ranching and feeding operation. Dave spent the subsequent 20 years in various financial and management positions with three different large publicly traded independent oil and gas companies; the most notable of which was as the Corporate Controller for Petro Lewis Corporation. Dave was also operationally responsible for the sale of many producing oil and gas properties during the early 90’s. When the Oil Industry went South in the mid 90’s (both financially and physically to Dallas and Houston), Dave decided to change his major. He graduated from Jones Real Estate College, passed the Broker’s Exam, and went to work for Coldwell Banker concentrating his residential real estate practice in Evergreen, where he has lived for 29 years. He quickly realized that there is an absolute dearth of affordable housing available to “Service Level Employees” along the I-70 Corridor. His research revealed that the business owners in these communities were having a hard time finding, hiring and retaining quality people to work for them, because there is virtually no place for these people to live. Dave, therefore, formed Twin Tunnels Development, L.L.C.; purchased 70 acres of land in Clear Creek County, and is in the process of developing a project of “workforce housing” for service level employees in the Evergreen, Black Hawk/Central City, and Idaho Springs Areas. Dave joined Fuller Towne & Country Properties West when the “West” office was opened in 2002 and is concentrating his real estate practice primarily on the I-70 Corridor from Idaho Springs to Georgetown along with pursuing the above development project.
